Library Policies/Procedures for Students
Books
1. You must have an OFFICIAL pass from a teacher or administrator to visit the library during school hours, unless you are coming as part of a class. You do NOT need a pass if coming before or after school or during passing periods.
2. You must have your student ID for checkout.
3. You must sign in upon entering the library.
4. You may check out up to TWO (2) books at a time.
5. You have THREE (2) weeks to keep your books.
6. You may RENEW your books ONE (1) time.
7. District policy states that LATE fines are $0.10 per day, per book.
8. If a book is lost or damaged, you will be charged the FULL VALUE of the book!
Please take good care of these books; they belong to everyone!
IDs
1. ID badge replacements are $3 for the badge, $2 for lanyard/badge holder, $5 for badge/lanyard/holder combo.
2. IDs are processed before school, during school (including lunches), Monday through Thursday.
3. IDs are NOT processed after school or on Fridays.
Library Policies/Procedures for Faculty/Staff
1. Staff may check out class sets of books for classroom use.
2. Staff may keep materials until June 1.
3. Staff are not assessed fines, unless material is lost or damaged beyond repair.
4. A professional collection of materials is available in the Teacher Resource Room in the library.
5. Staff may check out DVDs/videos/equipment to use in their classrooms/offices.
6. Staff are responsible for all materials checked out under their employee IDs. If a student wishes to borrow a book from a class set checked out to your name, please send the student and the book to the library immediately so that the book can be checked out under the student's account.
7. We ask that teachers send up no more than FOUR (4) students at a time for book checkout or ID processing during class.
